About false confidence of spiritual authorities and how to spot the real deal
The spiritual scene is rampant with spiritual masters, gurus, channelers, psychics, mediums and more, all of whom talk with the confidence of a well-bribed politician. The way we see it, some of them are the real deal. Others are going the right way…partially. And then we have the delulus and bad gurus. They all have one very impoart thing in common.
This is what we think:
That one thing the real deal and the woo-woo have in common is causing all the problems. Because of it, the real deal gets mixed up with woo-woo and loses credibility with it. Because of it, the discourse is scattered and it takes a master pattern recogniser to piece together how different niches reflect the same thing.
All of this is too much to ask from the uninitiated, which means that many otherwise capable people avoid spirituality because it seems dumb. Small wonder, seeing that a lot of it is very dumb. But it’s the real deal’s fault that they are getting mixed up. It’s up to the real deal to change that one thing.
Enough with cliffhangers, then. That one thing is absolute confidence regarding facts beyond the veil.
When talking matters that current science cannot begin to approach, let alone prove (yet), nobody should use the rhetorics reserved for logic and science.
The real deal knows that the information they receive cannot physically be 100% accurate because it’s filtered through a human being. But why don’t they ever say this aloud? Probably because they think it’ll make them look unprofessional.
We’d like to claim otherwise. Challenging, testing and doubting are a sign of mental strength. It could be the one way the real deal can set itself apart from the woo-woo. People should not be babied any longer. They’ll have to learn to live with what we call fuzzy hypotheses.
Capabilities of the ape brain
Let’s go through this once, in detail. Let’s say, you are chatting with some benevolent spirit from the other side. And that spirit is revealing you secrets about the world. Even if you feel absolutely sure that you heard them correctly, it is almost certain that something changed on the way.
Why?
The biggest reason is also what sets the real deal and woo-woo apart. In short, that is unfinished shadow work. People who are blind to their own fears and needs, whose ego has a strong hold on them, will always twist the information to feed the ego. That is the most common problem, and those who ruin the rep of everyone come from this group.
But if you are the real deal and past that, there are still two other reasons for you to accept your knowledge is fuzzy, even if it is valuable and resonant as well.
One is that we are a bunch of semi-intelligent hairless apes on in a distant solar system. We do not have the brain that can handle downloading most of universe’s information in a format that is more accurate to the source than a kindergartener’s drawing of an amusement park is to the original. We are working with approximates. And that is fine! Got to draft in order to draw. Just that we should not present that information in a way that puts it on the same paradigm as scientific facts. That’s really, really counter-productive to all of us in the long run.
Secondly, even the purest, most ego-less psychics, channels and mediums will change the information as it passes through the brain. The purer, the less, obviously. But it is impossible to remove the entire cognitive framework based on lived experiences of a person, from impacting the way the transmission gets shaped here and now. Right here, in fact, lies the core skill of a good psychic. The matters we receive are unbelievably complex, so it’s a respectable skill to be able to conceptualise them in some way that makes sense to other people. Just that, once again, it should not be presented as hard facts.
How to know who to trust?
Understanding all this is helpful also for people looking for spiritual guidance. There is so much out there, so what to choose?
In our opinion, what matters much more than the professional skillset, niche or discipline, is precisely this. Those who doubt, those who occasionally admit they are wrong, and those who try to explain how the transmission happens and what’s difficult about it. I’d trust those over anyone speaking with absolute confidence. Only after the ego lets go of the fantasy of being a master, it becomes safe to doubt oneself.
