Thriving

Every person is unique but the basic principles of health and wellbeing are the same for all. The path ahead has been documented countless of times. What is different now,
is the speed of change and the pressure to do better.

Expanding on our core theses

1. We live in the era of volatile micro and macro systems, hence the only way to thrive is to become internally directed. By micro systems, we mean human beings. By macro systems, e.g. parts of society or the entire globe. They are all becoming unstable at this point in time. The future is no longer predictable for anyone. The only way to feel safe is to find and retain internal coherence. It is a learnable skill. In other words, you will begin to hold your own micro system and stabilise it.

2. Becoming internally directed will inevitably lead to the path of continuous self-development. Every system is naturally inclined to develop, not become stagnant. It is the direction of livelihood. If finding internal direction feels hard or confusing as a concept, there is one really handy advice to get started: what is it about yourself that you would least like to deal with or face? That’s your direction. Later on, it gets lighter, curiosity driven.

3. True self-development is always holistic, meaning it happens in mind, body, and spirit. This can look vastly different for different people, with some aspects usually emphasised more than others, but nobody can skip one of the three and keep evolving. If one of these three remains underdeveloped, the other two will eventually get stuck as well.

Just a few examples of what self-development may entail, per aspect:

  • Mind: Developing a more coherent and comprehensive understanding of the world, improving the skill of impartial introspection for a more honest view of oneself, meditating to access insight and epiphanies not otherwise available.
  • Body: Exercising, massaging and/or otherwise treating the muscles, fascia and related systems of the body, to release tension and increase balanced, coherent body movement, fasting to gain experiences or achievements not otherwise available, improving nutrition to transform the system through the gut biome, clearing and changing the home and other spaces until they actively contribute to wellbeing.
  • Spirit: Addressing and integrating painful emotional experiences that have been stored in the system where they disrupt its healthy function (this can be through a variety of methods including self-help and therapy), meditating and connecting with the benevolent extrasensory world to receive upgrades to the system, begin addressing and integrating previously frightening or incomprehensible extrasensory experiences e.g. with an experienced therapist or mentor or with an evolved, stronger and more impartial mind.

4. True self-development inevitably includes deep shadow integration. Being human is ultimately about learning to love sustainably and be loved authentically. The ideas is not to become flawless orĀ  lose all negative feelings. Rather, life is about embodying your most authentic self at its current imperfect form. It is about mercy and humility. “To love yourself is to love another. To ascend is to descend.”

5. Internal direction is guided by the heart compass (intuition). It is the higher intelligence of a human being. First one needs to know it exists, then it needs to be found and finally, it needs to be calibrated.

Conclusion: how to develop

There is no simple answer because people are so vastly different, both in how they develop and also how far ahead they are in their development path. A good healer or mentor can help a great deal, as long as you retain your spiritual authority and your responsibility of your own progress.

It is possible you know all this already. Perhaps you might still enjoy examining our conceptualisation in more detail or heading over to Sensemaking or Being.
